TOUR AID
touraid is a young charity created to promote the mental, social, cultural, educational and physical development of children from disadvantaged backgrounds and to provide them with support by the healthy participation in physical recreation through playing rugby.
touraid tours help forge links between schools and rugby clubs in the United Kingdom and those overseas thereby providing children in the United Kingdom and those from underprivileged areas overseas opportunities for development through playing rugby.
touraid sees rugby as the catalyst for these partnerships and the resulting educational value to the visiting teams and host school children is immense.
Danny met the team from Trinidad and Tobago at Ripley Court School in September last year. Danny Said:
“ I really enjoyed meeting the Rainbow Rugby Team and I was really impressed by their enthusiasm for the game. I still have close links to Trinidad and Tobago and am thrilled that rugby is having such a positive effect on the community, I hope it continues and I’ll be following the progress of the team.” Please click here to read how rugby is helping to combat crime in Trinidad and Tobago.
We are delighted to have Danny Cipriani as our new Ambassador and he joins Mike Catt MBE, Sue Day, Phil Greening and Chester Williams.
